Richard Avedon *

Homage to Munkacsi, Carmen, coat by Cardin,
Place Francois-Premier, Paris, August 1957(Richard Avedon Foundation)

When I saw this picture for the first time,
I felt so impressed that I couldn't even take my eyes off
this imposing picture.
I was eager to get to know about someone who inspired me by this picture.
This was a work by Richard Avedon.

Richard Avedon (Self-portrait)
He was the representative photographer in America.
Life, Style, and Beauty...
He defined and showed those three images of America.
(The New York Times)

Don't you feel the charisma and passion in his eyes?

Dovima.  She was a supermodel at the fifties
and worked with Richard Avedon a lot.
You can see her in many works by Richard Avedon.

I believe she was his muse
that could give him much inspiration.

The woman in this picture is Dovima.
This photograph is the most famous one among his pictures.
I also love this picture the most.

He made lots of fabulous works
by catching the moment of movement.

How dynamic it is!
Isn't it?

Also,
he took portraits of many people
like actors, writers, and ordinary people.

Among them,
these two women's protraits
touched my heart.
